ARD partners with AQT in order to help our customer to deliver the fully tested project on-time
The time constrained project related to independent validation of the integration environment was completed. This project was full of nasty surprises and the biggest one was the critical defect (with the roots widespread in nearly all system components) discovered three weeks to completion. The severity of the defect was enough to prevent the software release and customer had no available resources to fix it. In order to help AQT has partnered with it sister company ARD (www.ardlab.com) involved in the software development outsourcing. As both companies uses same well established project and information management procedures, AQT was able to quickly provide all necessary information for bugfixing. ARD managed to allocate enough highly qualified resources to complete the bugfixing on time, leaving AQT enough time for regression tests. The project was completed on time.

AQT includes knowledge management process in the internal
procedures.
The knowledge transfer between the teams working on the similar
projects can be a nightmare in any company. Outsourcing business
adds also the confidentiality issues. The confidential materials can
not be access by everyone. On the other hand lessons learned on one
projects could significantly helps other teams. AQT has implemented
the unique knowledge sharing and access authorization process which
allows personnel to quickly find required information without
compromising the confidentiality.

Faxes, phone lines and tests
AQT were engaged into the in-country tests in order to determine if
fax capable devices from one of our clients can be used on Russian
phone lines. In order to optimize amount of filed trials AQT run the
extensive analysis of the line quality variation and also has
weighted the influence of the potential parameters variation. Based
on the analysis results we created the locations database and run
tests. Later the results were extrapolated in order to understand
how measured metrics (failure rates) will influence companies
working in the real environments. The first iteration has shown
the quality is below the threshold, so several extra iterations were
scheduled together with our client's R&D department in order to
choose the optimal parameters settings

New Year Rush
While everybody was busy celebrating, AQT teams have been working in
two-shift mode. On of our customers had the release scheduled for
second half of January but testing revealed plenty of serious
errors. The bugs were fixed but they have to be tested. Fast. Even if
that meant working of Xmas and New year AQT allocated necessary
resources in order to run regression tests and process the results.
Hopefully all errors detected during previous iterations were fixed
and when our customers come back to their workplaces they had the
fresh test evaluation summary in their mailboxes with good
news: "Your product is ready for release"
